BackDESCRIPTION OF THE DISH
Ready-made puff pastry is a great option for quick baking. You may use it to make pies, rolls, cakes, and even pizza. Moreover, delicate and light puff pastry is great for special meals cooked with different parts of chicken. The dough retains the juiciness and aroma of the meat and also gives the dish a nice appearance.
FILLED CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS WITH PUFF PASTRY
You can make chicken drumsticks in puff pastry both on a bone, and boneless. You may stuff boneless meat with a filling. This way you will make a juicy original dish suitable for an everyday menu and excellent as a festive meal.
Ingredients
Puff Pastry of RudTM | 500 g |
Chicken drumsticks | 5 to 6 pcs |
Hard cheese | 250 g |
Garlic | 2 to 3 cloves |
Salt | to taste |
Ground black pepper | to taste |
Filling: | |
Hard cheese | 100 g |
Dill | 1 bunch |
Tomato | 100 g |
Provence herbs | 0.5 tsp |
PREPARATION
Step 1
Wash chicken drumsticks thoroughly and dry them with a paper towel.
Carefully remove the bone with a sharp knife. To do this, cut the upper and lower tendons, then carefully separate the meat and remove the bone.
Step 2
Rub chicken meat with salt, pepper, and crushed garlic. While the meat is getting marinated, prepare the filling. To do this, grate the cheese on a fine grater and finely chop the dill and the tomato. Mix all ingredients thoroughly and add Provence herbs
Step 3
Cut hard cheese into 3 mm thick slices and put between skin and meat. Fill every piece of meat with 1 tbsp of the filling.
Step 4
Roll the dough to make it 3 mm thick and cut into thin strips, approx. 1 to 2 cm wide.
Step 5
Wrap each piece of meat with the strips of dough spiral-wise and put on an oiled baking tray.
Bake in a preheated oven for 40 minutes at 180°C. You may rub the meat with turmeric: this will make the dish even more flavoury.
CHICKEN FILLET IN PUFF PASTRY
We would like to offer you a recipe for an easy chicken roll with puff pastry with sesame seeds, which will be delicious even on the next day. Therefore, it is great for a quick breakfast. When serving such roll with grilled vegetables or vegetable stew you can have a hearty lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
Puff Pastry of RudTM | 250 g |
Chicken fillet | 1 pc |
Hard cheese | 70 g |
Egg | 1 pc |
Dill or parsley | 20 g |
Salt | to taste |
Ground black pepper | to taste |
PREPARATION
Step 1
Wash the chicken fillet, wrap it in a bag and beat with a kitchen hammer lightly.
Step 2
Rub salt and pepper on both sides. You may add some all-purpose chicken seasoning.
Step 3
Cover chicken fillet evenly with grated cheese and finely chopped herbs.
Make a roll with the fillet, ensuring that the stuffing is inside.
Step 4
Wrap the chicken rolls in puff pastry. Brush with a beaten egg and lay on a cooking pan greased with oil.
Step 5
Bake in preheated oven at 200°C for 30 minutes. Allow the roll to cool for 7 to 10 minutes before slicing.
CHICKEN THIGHS ROLL IN PUFF PASTRY
Chicken thighs roll is especially juicy. And mushrooms will make it even more savoury! In summer time, you may use fresh button mushrooms. In winter time, substitute them with frozen ones.

Chicken thighs | 6 pcs |
Hard cheese | 150 g |
Frozen button mushrooms of RudTM | or fresh 400 g |
Dill or parsley | 20 g |
Onion | 1 |
Salt | to taste |
Ground black pepper | to taste |
PREPARATION
Step 1
Cut the pre-washed chicken thighs along the bone and pull it out. Remove the skin.
Step 2
Beat the meat with a kitchen hammer lightly and rub it with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Mix grated hard cheese with chopped herbs.
Step 4
Fry frozen or fresh button mushrooms with chopped onions in the frying pan.
Step 5
Cover chicken thighs with herbs, mushrooms, and onions. Make a roll and wrap it in puff pastry.
Step 6
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 25 to 30 minutes.
