Plum pie
BackDESCRIPTION OF THE DISH
Perhaps, the most delicious seasonal pie is a plum pie. Juicy fruit filling wrapped in the most delicate golden-brown dough… This fragrant pie seems to be created for cosy family nights!
To make a plum pie, use the greengage variety of this fruit. They should be ripe, sweet, with a yellow-green flesh and a pleasant sourness.
You can knead the dough yourself by adding eggs, sugar and butter to the flour. But if you want to bake a pie as quickly and easily as possible, use puff pastry by Rud TM. Our convenient semi-finished product is a great discovery for anyone who wants to eat delicious food, but does not plan to spend extra time in the kitchen.
The bottom of the pie is usually sprinkled with starch. It keeps the plum juice inside the pie and prevents the filling from leaking out.
