Swedish cinnamon rolls
BackDESCRIPTION OF THE DISH
In Sweden, cinnamon rolls became a staple of traditional cuisine in the mid-20th century. Since then, their fame spread far across the border of the kingdom, and they are adored in many countries.
A cinnamon roll looks a bit like a snail since it is made from a spiral rolled strip of dough, traditionally flavoured with sweet cinnamon glaze with maple syrup or cream cheese, raisins, and nuts.
The Swedes are so fond of their pastries that they even have Kanelbullens dag, Cinnamon Bun Day celebrated in the autumn. They also have an everyday tradition called fika, a small coffee break with a bun: every two hours everyone takes a break to enjoy a hot drink with flavourful cinnamon buns.

STEPS TO MAKE IT
Stage 1
Add yeast to the milk heated to 40 °C and let it dissolve. In another bowl, melt 100 g of butter. Pour it into the milk-yeast mixture. Add 10 g of sugar and salt.
Stage 2
Sift the flour. Gradually add it into the milk mixture and form elastic dough that does not stick to the hands.
Leave the dough covered with a towel in a warm place for 30-50 minutes.
Stage 3
Cover the table with a thin layer of flour, lay out the dough and begin to roll it until it is 3 mm thick. Melt the rest of the butter and grease the dough. Mix sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle them on the dough and fold it in half.
Stage 4
Cut the dough into 3 cm wide strips. Roll each strip into a snail-like spiral and arrange them on a baking pan covered with parchment baking paper and greased with egg yolk. Put the snails into the oven heated to 200 °C for about 15-20 minutes.
